Ruth Lillian Casey, 88, of Ontario, passed away early Saturday morning, January 2, 2021, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born September 9, 1932, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Franklin and Hilda (Rumberg) Langille Sr.
She was a very energetic and upbeat person whose enthusiasm was contagious. Ruth was a member of the Red Hat Society, Ontario Felions Club and Ontario Newcomers and Neighbors. She enjoyed crafting, scrap booking, making greeting cards and enjoyed going to craft shows and bazaars.
Ruth is survived by a daughter, Susanne (Larry Herrett) Casey of Westerville; sons, Rick (Nichole) Casey and Jeff (Stacey) Casey, both of Ontario; grandchildren, Tyler Casey of Lexington, Tanille (Josh) Ingle of Solon, Takoda Pratt, Lillian Casey, and Grayson Casey of Ontario; sister, Priscilla Langille of Wollaston, MA; a sister-in-law, Fran Langille of Quincy, MA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Francis Casey on May 24, 2018; parents; two great-grandchildren, Thea and Rhett Ingle; and brother, Franklin Langille.
A private family service was observed. She was laid to rest beside her husband in Mansfield Memorial Park. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
