Cecelia Ann Cortelletti passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Ohio Health Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio at the age of 78.

Cecelia was born on March 18, 1942 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Sam and Marie Gentille. She was one of four children. Cecelia received her education from Mansfield Senior High School and graduated in 1960. She worked for Dr. Oswald as a dental assistant for years and Madison Jr. High as a library assistant for 20 years.

On June 2, 1962, Cecelia married Matteo, the love of her life. They were happily married for 54 years and were always the life of the party.

Cecelia enjoyed reading, the theater, her many card clubs she belonged to as well as being with numerous friends and family. When it came to dancing, she was always the first on the floor and the last one off, making sure everyone else had a good time as well. She was also one of the best dressed ladies in the room. We will miss her joyful approach to life and her eagerness to make new friends, which put everyone at ease around her.

She would have wanted you to celebrate her and the wonderful life she led~eat some spaghetti, play some euchre, dance to the twist, or watch a movie she would have enjoyed while remembering her fondly.

Cecelia is survived by her children, Todd (Judy), Scott (Joy), and Tia (Ben); grandchildren, Lauren (Brian), Alexa (Scott), Brett, Logan, Brianna, Tegan; and her great granddaughter, Ellie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Matteo; sister, Jeroma; and brothers, Sam and Phillip.

We’d like to thank OhioHealth for their exceptional care and attention to her needs these last few weeks.

To honor Cec, donations can be made to the Friendly House Community Center, a United Way agency located in Mansfield, Ohio. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Cortelletti family.
