Anna Ruth Wiehm, 87, passed away at home on November 28, 2020, following a nine year journey with dementia. She was fortunate to have been accompanied on her journey by her loving husband and caregiver, Helmut, and her daughter, Julie and son-in-law, Bob Wilson.

Her journey was full of love, laughter, and smiles thanks to her family, friends, neighbors and caregivers that joined her along the way. She brought so many smiles to so many people her entire life, right until her last day.

Born November 26, 1933, in Bucyrus, Ohio, she was the daughter of Carl and Juanita (Brown) Stahl. She graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1952. Anna Ruth married Helmut Wiehm on July 3, 1953. She loved being a homemaker and was an excellent cook-German cooking being her specialty. She loved all kinds of music, especially live music with Steve Brown.

Anna Ruth and Helmut loved to travel with their family. They traveled all over the country with Hilton Head and Pacific Grove, California, being their favorites. They were fortunate to have traveled several times to Europe and to meet the German side of their family. Anna Ruth was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Helmut of Mansfield; children, Julie and Robert Wilson; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Mike Roth of Upper Arlington, OH; niece, Molly and Andrew Kessinger and their daughters, Ellie, Sadie and Abbie of Upper Arlington, OH; and very special friend, Gracie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin in 1982; and two sisters, Phyllis and Donna. Anna Ruth’s life was one well-lived and she will be missed.

A private ceremony will be held at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Richland County. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
