MANSFIELD — The Johnny Appleseed Baseball Club 15-and-under baseball team, comprised of athletes from all over the area, won its first tournament of the season over weekend at North Ridgeville.
The players are from Ashland, Hillsdale, Mapleton, Lucas, and Fredericktown school districts. Coached by Mitch Metzger and Bud Kandel, the players include Jax Rogers, Andrew Smollen, Luke Bean, Nick Kandel, Blake Benner, Andrew Fanello, Braden Reymer, Xavier Mullins, Jon Metzger, Jake Hoverstock, and Ethan Truax.
