MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Cemetery has returned to normal visitation hours for the public.

The cemetery made the announcement on Tuesday, May 27. The hours the gates will be open are as follows:

Daily: 7:30 a.m. to dusk

These hours are for both the front and back gates.

As long as visitors are following safe practices and not congesting the cemetery during funeral hours, the gates will remain open throughout the day.

“We ask the public to understand that funerals come first during operating hours and any work needing to be done on the cemetery grounds,” stated Pam Bautz, administrator of Mansfield Cemetery. “Should we see visitors are not being respectful to the funerals that are occurring, then we may choose to re-close the gates during funeral hours.

“As a reminder, we do not allow bicycles in the cemetery and if you are walking your dog, it must be on a leash and you must pick up after it.”
