Nurses were among those saluted by Hospice of North Central Ohio.

With National Nurse’s Week just behind us we are still seeing changes all around us during this unprecedented event of Covid-19. This is a story to tell someday to our children’s children … of raising smiles, hope, and of a community coming together. Hospice of North Central Ohio is pleased to have been a recipient of donated PPE (personal protective equipment).

Special thanks to local people, business, and employee/families that have supported Hospice of North Central Ohio in a whole new way.

Shelia Eaton, RN, a long time Richland County resident of 48 years joined HNCO 2½ years ago with a history of nursing experience. Sheila is a wife, a mother of two daughters, and a grandmother of four. She also has a dog and a cat, and enjoys antique and craft shopping. When I asked Shelia what makes HNCO different her reply was said with a warm smile, “The care, the love, and the support that we as a team show each other as well the families and patients we serve. I love working at HNCO and helping patients through their next journey of life with peace and comfort. Providing support for the families is just so rewarding.”

Debbie Owens enjoys motorcycle rides and spending time with her family. She is married with four boys, three grandchildren, and two dogs. Debbie has enjoyed working in healthcare for the past 18 years, she began her career with passion to help others. “Getting to know the families and their needs, and being able to assist them in difficult times is what makes me enjoy my work here at HNCO.” Debbie describes HNCO as a team with heart that has kept her employed with HNCO for 15 ½ years. Born in Florida, Debbie has been an Ohio resident since she was five.
