Jean C. Dill passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 in her home surrounded by her family. She was 95.

She was born Sept. 5, 1924 to parents Joseph & Gunda (Jorgensen) Perry in Mansfield. Jean graduated from Madison High School with the class of 1942. She was a Navy Veteran of WWII as part of the WAVES branch.

On August 4,1946, she married Clinton Dill, who passed away 3 months shy of their 60th anniversary in 2006. Now they are together again.

Jean was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellville and worked for and retired from United Telephone. An avid traveler, she and Clinton enjoyed 18 winters in La Belle, Florida. But above all else, family was Jean’s pride and joy.

She is survived by children Drew (Jean) Dill, Jane (George) Fleiner and Dwight (Anna Maria) Dill; grandchildren Sara (Daren) Walker, Heather (Glen) Richmond, Andy Dill, Scott (Beth) Fleiner, Jennifer (Shawn) Alt, Alex Dill and Ian Dill; great-grandchildren, Logan, Taylor, Dillon, Lincoln, Zachary, Rudy, Ellen, Ryan; sister-in-law Lona Perry and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Helen Blecharz, Don Perry and Gladys Sheriff.

The Dill family will receive friends Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. A funeral service honoring Jean’s life will be held Friday, March 6 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellville beginning at 11 a.m. Richard Brenneman will speak. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
