MANSFIELD — Icy roads caused a semi-truck to slide off Ohio 314 at Hook Road and collide with a telephone pole, according to Lt. Rob Sellars of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The accident, Sellars said, knocked live wires loose onto the road, which was closed after the accident late Tuesday morning.
The Mansfield OSHP post was waiting for the power company to turn the power off in that area off. Once the power is off, they will be able to begin removing the truck.
No injuries were reported.
Sellars said it may take several hours before the road opens back up.
Current road conditions in Mansfield are light snow and breezy, according to the National Weather Service. There is a chance of snow showers Tuesday evening, then mostly cloudy skies.
