MANSFIELD — Mansfield City Council is scheduled to discuss and vote Tuesday on a proposal to spend up to $155,603 on a new snowplow truck.

The proposal is to buy an International HV507 cab and chassis from Rush Truck Center in Cincinnati for $83,281. It would also allot up to $73,322 for a new snow plow blade, salt-spreader body and all necessary truck modifications from Henderson Products in Bucyrus.

Funds for the new snowplow would come from the city’s street maintenance and repair fund.

City officials came under criticism last winter from some residents after a record-setting snow fall made traffic difficult in portions of the city.

The proposal will be discussed during a council finance committee meeting at 6:30 p.m.
