NEW WASHINGTON — Jonny King’s first night as a high school football head coach was a successful one.

The Crestline rookie boss saw his team take a 6-0 first-quarter lead on Calvin Reed’s 59-yard dash just seconds into the game. The Bulldogs tacked on another touchdown in the third period.

It was all the offense King’s club would need while playing tenacious defense. Buckeye Central suffered a shutout in the opener for both schools.
