Payton Harbin, reported missing on Jan. 21, has been found by local authorities.

MANSFIELD — Local law enforcement is seeking help in finding a missing juvenile, Maj. Joe Masi of the Richland County Sheriff’s Office said.

Payton Harbin, 14, ran away from his home on Monday, Jan. 21 at 11 p.m.

Payton, a 5-foot, one-inch black male is noted as a habitual runaway, and is still believed to be in the Mansfield area. 

Masi said an warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Payton was last seen wearing a green T-shirt, jeans and white shoes. 

According to the case report, “Since he runs away all the time, Madison Local Schools terminated him from their district.

“Usually the offender is missing for more than a month each time and is found by Mansfield Police Department at a different residence everytime (sic),” the report stated. 

He is now homeschooled through the Goal Academy.
