A sigh of relief filled the air in Lima Senior’s locker room after Wednesday’s 68-60 win against Lima Central Catholic in an Ohio boys basketball matchup.

The clock were the only thing that stopped the Spartans, which enjoyed the upper hand in a 17-12 final quarter, too.

The Spartans broke in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 51-48 lead over the Thunderbirds.

An intermission tie at 31-31 allowed for a respite as both teams looked to regroup in the locker room.

The Thunderbirds showed they were ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out a 20-16 advantage over the Spartans as the first quarter ended.
