“Playing a musical instrument doesn’t make you smart, but it does make you smarter” according to Metronome Music store owner, Larry Miller.

Miller and his wife, Sandra, bought Metronome Music in 1962 and over the past 56 years they have done everything in their power to help bring music to life for musicians of all ages and skill levels.

Metronome Piano Room

Originally Metronome Music was primarily a band and orchestra store selling instruments and sheet music along with a few classical guitars and home stereos. However, when the Millers took ownership the Beatles were just coming to America, and they knew they had to add guitars, drums and amplifiers to their stock.

Over time they grew Metronome Music to a “full-line” business adding additional inventory like pianos and PA systems as well as new services for instrument repair and private music lessons.

Metronome Music is also proud to service many of the local school district’s music departments.

“Metronome Music’s mission is to sell and repair quality musical instruments at a fair price with excellent service,” Miller said. “We never want to see someone lose interest learning a new instrument because of inferior quality. That’s why we guarantee that all of our used instruments are adjusted and in top-notch working order before they are sold.”

Miller emphasizes that buying a musical instrument is unlike many other purchases. “It’s a purchase with lasting impact. An instrument brings people joy and lasting memories for many years, even after they stop playing.”
