Marjorie E. Mathias, 90, of Mansfield, passed away early Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, 2018, at Winchester Terrace Nursing Center.

She was born Nov. 8, 1928, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to the late Edward and Florence (Beach) Holland.

Marjorie was an area homemaker her entire life and loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lovingly tended to her garden and her family benefited from the bountiful vegetables she canned.

Everyone was spoiled by Marjorie with her wonderful holiday treats. A sweet, fun-loving woman, she was a joy to be near. Marjorie had a love of music and dancing, and enjoyed following the NASCAR career of Rusty Wallace. She also enjoyed reading and word search puzzles. For several years, Marjorie served at President of the Crestline VFW Auxiliary.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Tom (Karen) Mathias and Debbie (Paul) Konczak; a special daughter-in-law, Diane Mathias; several beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Bea Siegrist; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William G. Mathias; son, Bruce Mathias; and brother, Wayne Holland.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. Memorial contributions in memory of Marjorie may be made to a charity of your choice.
