MANSFIELD — Richland Pregnancy Services (RPS) will host their annual “Steppin’ Out for Life” walk and 5K run on Saturday, June 23, rain or shine. The event will take place at the Lexington Senior Community Center, B&O bike trail.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk/run starts at 9 a.m. They encourage your church, family or business to come walk and run. Again this year, the church / business bringing in the most pledges and donations on average will win a prize.
The “Steppin Out for Life” walk / 5K is a community wide gathering in support of the free services Richland Pregnancy Services provides to women, men and families faced with an unplanned pregnancy.
Register online at www.richlandpregnancy.com find the donor tab then events or by stopping by the office at 1560 W. Fourth Street, Mansfield, Ohio to pick up a registration/sponsor form. Once registered, you can accept donations from family, friends, and co-workers. Early registration fee for runners is $25 before June 17, after that date the fee will be $30.
There is no registration fee for walkers, but walkers should obtain sponsors. Adults that raise $150 will receive a t-shirt and kids under 17 that raise $75 will receive a free t-shirt.
All race participants and supporters are invited back to the Senior Center for refreshments, award ceremony, door prizes and family fun activities.
For 30 years, Richland Pregnancy Services has assisted thousands of individuals in Richland County. RPS’ services and support include free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, fatherhood program, parenting classes, boutique and much more.
The goal for this event is $30,000.
