Darron Bernard Mask

Darron Brenard “Gorge” Mask, 61, passed this life on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Liberty Nursing Center after an extended illness.

He was born on Wednesday, February 20, 1957 in Stanton, Tennessee and had lived in Mansfield the past 53 years. Darron was a member of the Mansfield Senior High School graduating class of 1975 and played football. He was a former employee of Denny’s Restaurants. Darron was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time at the library, watching movies, sports, and king of the grill.

Darron is survived by his mother: Helen Johnson, of Mansfield; daughter: Latasha Mack, Mansfield; sister: Paula (Lenail) Parker, of Mansfield; brother: Tarkington (Tiffiny Holley) Johnson, of Mansfield; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; a host of foster brothers, sisters and nieces, and nephews.

Darron was preceded in death by his father Fred Walker, sister Betty Melton and step father LeRoy Johnson.

Homegoing services will be held Monday, at 11 a.m. in the Shiloh Baptist Church by his pastor, Bishop William Morris, Jr. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m.

Family will also receive friends at the home of Darron’s brother, Tarkington at 600 Laver Rd. daily from 6 to 8 p.m. Military services will be conducted at the end of the service.
