Daryl Garth “Duffy” Caldwell

Daryl Garth “Duffy” Caldwell, 63, passed this life on Friday, May 11, 2018 suddenly in his home.

Mr. Caldwell was born on Thursday, July 29, 1954 to the late Nathaniel Hawthrone and Mary (Hawkins) Caldwell Sr., in Mansfield and was a life resident. “Duffy” as he was affectionately known was a member of the Malabar High School graduating Class of 1972.

He was a former employee of Newman Technology. After Newman Technology Duffy became employed with the City of Mansfield in the Water and Sewer Department for the past 20 years. He was an active member of the Mansfield Roadrunners Motorcycle Club.

Daryl is survived by his son: Montrell “Trell” Caldwell, of Mansfield, Ohio; four siblings: Lawanda Caldwell (Donald), Marc (Beverly) A. Caldwell I, James B. “Toki,” and Douglas Caldwell, of Mansfield and his extended family of co-workers and the Roadrunners.

In addition to his parents Duffy was preceded in death by a brother Nathaniel Caldwell Jr.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Services with Elder Henry Bradley, Sr. of the New Community Temple COGIC presiding and Brother Kenneth Jackson of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness delivering the eulogy. Friends may call at the Chapel one hour prior to the celebration service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery.

The family will also receive friends at the family home, 278 Superior Avenue on Sunday May 20, 2018 from 3 to 6 p.m.
