Leona F. Daniel, 64, passed away Tuesday evening, May 8, 2018, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
She was born April 22, 1954, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Junior Earl and Mabel C. (Hall) Smith.
Leona attended Mansfield Senior High School and retired from Milark Industries. A good mother, awesome grandmother, best mother-in-law, and loving sister, Leona was loved by her entire family. She relished the time spent with her grandson and enjoying spoiling him whenever she could. In her free time she enjoyed fishing and camping.
Leona is survived by her sons, Kevin Daniel (Misty Williamson) of Shelby and Earl Allen Daniel of Mansfield; grandson, Isaiah Daniel; mother, Mabel C. Smith of Mansfield; four sisters, Eloise (Steven) Zellner of Ontario, Darlene Utt and Terry Beer, both of Mansfield and Viola (Bobby) Meyer of Lexington; a brother, Larry (Debbi) Smith; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father; brother, Waitman Smith; and two brothers-in-law, Rodger Utt and Fredrick Beer.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will immediately follow at 10 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery.
