ONTARIO – The Richland Mall’s center court looked a little brighter Friday morning with the addition of a candle retailer within Bath & Body Works.

Bath & Body Works celebrated its addition of White Barn, which specializes in home fragrance, Friday, April 13 with a grand reopening ceremony.

The store closed for a week while relocating from its previous spot between Spencer’s and Victoria’s Secret to a larger space in the center court beside Champs.

“It’s a fresh look, and it really brightens up the corner here at center court where they moved to,” said Richland Mall manager Jodi Scott. “It definitely shows an investment in the mall and in the community.”

Long-time Bath & Body Works customer Andreea Moll was impressed with the remodel. She was one of the first customers in the new store Friday.

“It’s gorgeous. I want to buy everything,” she said. “I’m so obsessed with candles, and I only use lotion from here.

Another customer Jeff Parton left the store with a bag full of items he planned to give to his family members as birthday gifts.

Before the expansion, the mall’s Bath & Body Works carried a small assortment of White Barn candles, but the additional space allows the store to sell more.

“It’s so nice to bring a full assortment to the Richland Mall,” said general manager Nathan Fisher.

Fisher, a 2004 Lexington graduate, has worked as the store’s manager for three years.

“It’s so nice to bring new-ness to this area. I’m a native of this area… and it’s nice to see the mall coming back,” he said.

The decision to move Bath & Body Works and add a White Barn was made late last year. The previous location closed last Friday for the moving period.

Bath & Body Works came to the Richland Mall in 1995. It was remodeled once before in the late 2000s.
