April 2, 2018 – Sylvania, OH – The Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund (NOSF) has been awarded a grant from the Richland County Foundation to acquire new donors from Richland County. The grant will also fund current scholarships for area students. The Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund (NOSF) provides scholarships to K-8 grade students from low-income households to attend a private school or for home school expenses.
This challenge grant is a dollar-for-dollar match for any new donations received from November 1, 2017 until June 30, 2018, from Richland County contributors. Currently, 29 students attend private schools in the county, including St. Mary of the Snow, Mansfield Christian, St. Peter School, and St. Mary School Shelby for the 2017-2018 school year on a NOSF scholarship.

NOSF offer students up to $1,500 per year for tuition or $500 for homeschool expenses. Families must reside in one of the following counties including Allen, Crawford, Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Huron, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Van Wert, Williams, Wood and Wyandot and pay a minimum of $500 towards their tuition.
Established in 1999, NOSF has provided $12.6 million in scholarships to 14,700 students. Based on the founding belief that all children regardless of their economic circumstances deserved access to quality educational choices, NOSF is one of 27 Children’s Scholarship Programs (CSF) across the country. CSF matches all money raised by NOSF.
