BUCYRUS — A Bucyrus man was killed Thursday night in a two-vehicle Crawford County crash.

According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Eric Adams, 42, of Bucyrus, was pronounced dead at the scene after a crash at 6:48 p.m. at Ohio 19, north of Quaker Road.

A report of the crash states Adams was driving a silver 2012 Honda Accord south on Ohio 19 and lost control of his vehicle on the wet roadway. The Honda entered the northbound lane of Ohio 19 and was struck by a red 2016 Ford Escape driven by 67-year-old Brenda Young, of Bloomville.

The Crawford County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene and Adams was pronounced deceased. Young was transported to the Bucyrus Community Hospital for her injuries. 

Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by members of the Holmes Township Volunteer Fire Department and Life Support Ambulance service. The crash remains under investigation.
