Charles Lewis Jr., 71, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018 in Winchester Terrace Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Mr. Lewis was born Sunday, June 30, 1946 to the late Charles and Clara Lewis Sr. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Charles’ family had initially moved to Willard, Ohio before Mansfield, where he lived as a child, and he then moved to Cleveland after his high school graduation for 28 years.

Mr. Lewis returned to the Mansfield community in 1995 and had lived in the community for the past 23 years. He was a graduate of Malabar High School with the Class of 1966 and participated in the sports of football and track and field.

Charles was a sports fan of all Cleveland teams which included the Indians, Browns, and the Cavaliers. He loved all types of music and displayed his musical talents by playing the piano and singing.

Charles leaves to mourn his passing his brother Ahmad Rashad, of Mansfield; nephew Bradley Randleman, of Cleveland; special niece Tonette Diana Lewis; several cousins of Willard, Fostoria, Chicago and Midland Michigan; and friends of the family.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a sister Jean Randleman, a nephew Bruce Randleman, an aunt and uncle Philip and Margeree Hampton and several cousins Barbara Smith, Alfreeda Smith, Phillip Hampton and Randy Hampton.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 12:00 Noon in the Ruth Anna Lee Williams Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Services. The family will receive friends at the chapel one hour prior to the memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. till time of service.
