BUCYRUS — A Mansfield man is in custody in Crawford County after he was arrested in his car Saturday in connection with a drug case in Bucyrus.
According to a Bucyrus Police report, officers were called to the 200 block of East Mary Street at approximately 6:48 a.m. on Saturday. The tipster reported there was a suspicious person sitting in the vehicle since 5 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers say they encountered a 40-year-old old Mansfield man who was arrested for resisting arrest and drug abuse instruments. The man is being held pending a court appearance.

3:50 p.m. Officers checked the welfare of a subject in a vehicle at Walmart. He was taking a nap during a trip to Boston.
4:30 p.m. A false alarm in the 100 block of Gaius Street was investigated.
5:08 p.m. Officers checked on a suspicious vehicle in the area of Hopley and Whetstone Street. It was a subject sleeping in a vehicle and he called for a ride from a friend.
5:42 p.m. A resident in the 800 block of E. Rensselaer Street reported the front license plate lost off his vehicle.
5:49 p.m. Officers assisted motorist locked out of her vehicle in the 100 block of S. Sandusky Avenue.
8:40 p.m. Officers checked a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of Marion Road.
8:55 p.m. A false alarm in the 100 block of E. Irving Street was investigated.
9:21 p.m. A traffic warning was issued in the 400 block of N. Sandusky Avenue.
9:42 p.m. Officers attempted to serve a warrant on Earl Street.
10:52 p.m. A report of a possible drunk driver in the area of N. Sandusky Ave. was investigated.

1:22 a.m. A bicyclist was given a warning for no lights on his bike in the Aumiller Dr. area.
2:14 a.m. Officers checked on a male sleeping in the alley in the 200 block of S. Sandusky Ave. He was given a warning for disorderly conduct by intoxication and sent on his way.
2:21 a.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1100 block of W. Mansfield St. was unfounded as it was an employee.
2:47 a.m. A traffic warning was given in the 600 block of W. Mary St.
3:28 a.m. A report of a male banging on a door in the 300 block of E. Mansfield St. was investigated and one of the parties left the area.
3:44 a.m. A report of a domestic issue in the parking lot of Walmart parking lot was investigated and it was a verbal dispute and they separated for the time being.

2:28 p.m. Officers investigated a report of loud music in the 900 block of Faustina Ave. and the resident turned the volume down.
3:18 p.m. A two vehicle non-injury accident was investigated at Marion Rd and Southern Ave. and a citation was issued.
4:21 p.m. A parking complaint in the 1200 block of Reid St was resolved with an owner moving the vehicle.
5:41 p.m. Officers assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol in the area of Tiffin and Schaber at a traffic stop.
6:52 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a dog running loose in the 300 block of Wallace Ave. and the dog returned to a residence.
7:17 p.m. A disturbance in the 400 block of E Rensselaer St was a verbal dispute and one of the involved persons left the area.
7:45 p.m. A report of two juveniles attempting to break into a car in Tiffin St was investigated. The juveniles were gone upon officer’s arrival as a resident chased them from the area.
8:16 p.m. A disturbance in the 400 block of N Sandusky Ave was investigated and it was a couple having a verbal dispute.
10:05 p.m. Officers attempted to serve a warrant in the 1600 block of Marion Rd.
Monday, Feb. 26
12:31 a.m. A disturbance in the 800 block of Kaler Ave was reportedly suspicious persons trespassing at the cemetery.
1:38 a.m. An Elm St resident was warned against telephone harassment.
2:09 a.m. Officers checked a building that was unsecured.
5:14 a.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 300 block of Ethel St.
5:25 a.m. A report of a suspicious person in the 900 block of W Southern Ave was found to be a missing/runaway juvenile and he was escorted to his home.
6:24 a.m. A report of a domestic problem in the 500 block of E Mansfield St was investigated and it was a verbal dispute.
