Paula J. Porch, 71, of Mansfield passed away at Liberty Nursing Home on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018. Paula was born in Mansfield, Ohio to Paul and Florence (Lorimor) Watts.
A simple life was what Paula lived and her greatest joy was taking care of her family. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Artistic and crafty she had a knack for painting and ceramics, and was part of a local painting club in her earlier years.
She taught swimming at the YMCA. Paula enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, and had a love for animals. A believer, she was baptized in the Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, David Porch; children, Jeff (Susan) Porch, Jennifer (Steve) Coffey, Lance Porch, Heath (Tracy) Porch, and Keith (Julie) Porch; four grandchildren, Alexander Porch, James Lunsford, Mason Porch, and Tanner Harless; sister in law, Sue Porch; nieces Becky (Tom) Dugan, Kim (John) Berger, Vicki (John) Mergel, Kris (Roger) Nelson, and Lori (Jamie) Gobble; many other great nieces and nephews and other relatives; and special friends, Sue Cassity, Diane “Dine” Traxler and Clara Killinger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother in law, Leland Porch.
Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 at Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Pastor Dan Clouse will officiate the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
