ASHLAND — The Ohio Department of Transportation has issued its District 3 weekly construction report for the week of Sept. 25

As a result, Ashland County drivers are urged to use caution on these roads this week:

Interstate 71

I-71, from the Ashland Co. line to the US 250 ramps, will have daytime single lane closures and nighttime double lane closures as crews continue work on a resurfacing project. Motorists are advised to use caution when driving through the work zone. All work is weather dependent. The project is expected to be complete October 2017.

State Route 58

SR 58, between SR 302 and CR 500, is closed for eight consecutive culvert replacements. Crews have moved and are now working north of CR 620. There are currently no roads accessible from the north side of the closure starting from the SR 58/SR 89 intersection. Motorists travelling from the south, heading north, have access to up to CR 620. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 58 to SR 302, east on SR 302 to SR 89, north on SR 89 to SR 58, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen October 2017; however, all work is weather permitting.

State Route 60

SR 60, between US 250 and US 224, may be reduced to one lane of traffic for a chip seal resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete October 2017.

State Route 60, from its intersection with US 224 to the Huron Co. line, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a smooth seal resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete November 2017.
