Police arrest in handcuffs

BUCYRUS — A Friday night wedding party led to a brawl and eventually the arrest of a Lima man on multiple felony charges, according to Bucyrus Police.

Officers were called to the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express just before midnight where two men in suits were reportedly fighting. Police say upon arrival there was a crowd of people from a wedding party that were unable to calm a subject that had become unruly over the course of the night.

The police report states the individual had climbed onto cars in the parking lot. Noah R. Johnson, 28, of Lima, was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct, aggravated menacing, resisting arrest and assault on a police officer. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for an appearance in court.

Friday, Sept. 1

7:12 a.m. A Pinewood Ct. resident reported her vehicle entered overnight by someone known to them.

8:46 a.m. Officers assisted BFD in the 1300 block of Whetstone St.

9:15 a.m. A private property collision report was taken at Walmart.

9:37 a.m. Property found in the 100 block of E Perry St. was brought on station.

10:05 a.m. Officers did a walk-through due to a suspicious customer in the downtown area.

10:36 a.m. A false alarm was received from the 100 block of S Walnut St.

12:56 p.m. Officers investigated a report of a suspicious person in the 1800 block of E Mansfield St. A welfare check was made on a female that wanted to check for pregnancy in a store restroom without alerting her boyfriend.

1:53 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 300 block of N Sandusky Ave.

3:28 p.m. Officer assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 1300 block of N. Sandusky Av.

4:12 p.m. Officers attempted to serve a warrant.

6:05 p.m. A report of an erratic driver was reported in the area of Marion Rd and Beal Av.

6:17 p.m. A suspicious person was reported in the 100 block of Fisher St.

6:27 p.m. An abandoned bicycle was turned in at the Police Department.

6:56 p.m. A parking complaint was made in the 800 block of S. Poplar St. The owner returned to the vehicle and was trying to get it moved.

7:16 p.m. A 911 open line was reported in the 200 block of E. Rensselaer St.

7:39 p.m. A report of suspicious people was made in the 700 block of Sitler Av.

7:52 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out In the 1000 block of Tiffin St.

8:20 p.m. A theft report was made in the 400 block of E. Rensselaer St. An individual accused his ex-girlfriend of taking money from him.

8:22 p.m. A traffic warning was issued in the area of Lane and Norton Way.

8:33 p.m. Joseph Will, 38 was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct in the 100 block of W. Mansfield St. Officers were called to the area on a report of a fight. Will was issued a court date to appear and taken to Crawford County Justice Center to be held until sober.

9:28 p.m. K9 Officer assisted Crawford County Sheriff’s Office at a traffic stop.

9:30 p.m. A minor collision involving a tractor trailer on the parking lot was investigated in the 1500 block of N. Sandusky Ave.

9:43 p.m. Officers checked on a disoriented man that had fallen off of a bicycle near the intersection of Beal Ave. and S. Sandusky Ave. William Clark Jr., 33, was arrested for felony possession of drugs and possession of marijuana. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

9:57 p.m. Officers investigated a 9-1- 1 hang up call from Bucyrus High School.

11:16 p.m. Traffic stop was made in the 300 block of S. Sandusky Ave. Willie Keeton, 34, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for bond or court.

Saturday, Sept. 2

12:18 a.m. A report of fireworks being set off in the 1300 block of Hopley Ave. was investigated.

12:37 a.m. A report of vandalism in the 400 block of W. Warren St. was a trail of vehicle coolant from a property and extending down the roadway.

12:39 a.m. A report of a suspicious person in the 300 block of Short St. was investigated.

1:17 a.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of Tiffin St. was investigated and the vehicle was parked at a residence.

2:24 a.m. A traffic stop was made in the alley on the west side of the 600 block of S. Sandusky Ave. Neil Collins, 31, was arrested for possession of an open container of alcohol in his vehicle and was cited for driving under suspension. He was issued a date to appear in court and released.

4:20 a.m. A report of two people trespassing on the RR tracks in the E. Mansfield St. area was investigated.

5:23 a.m. A report of people carrying a trampoline in the S. East St. area was investigated.

9:35 a.m. An E Rensselaer St resident reported a theft of money by someone known to them.

9:47 a.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 500 block of Garnet Ct.

9:54 a.m. A domestic dispute in the 500 block of S Sandusky Ave. was investigated.

11:23 a.m. A report of a subject experiencing mental issues was investigated.

12:19 p.m. A W Mansfield St resident reported the theft of money from their home.

12:21 p.m. Officers attempted to make a welfare check in the 900 block of Victoria Dr.

1:35 p.m. Officers investigated an overtime parking complaint in the 600 block of Sherman St.

2:31 p.m. A citation for 48 hour parking violation was issued in the 1400 block of Cullen Ct.

2:58 p.m. A purple girls bicycle abandoned in the 100 block of W. Oakwood Av. was brought to the Police Department.

3:20 p.m. A welfare check was requested in the 1500 block of E Mansfield St.

4:12 p.m. A theft report of a credit card was taken in the 1100 block of Whetstone St.

6:06 p.m. A traffic complaint was investigated in the area of Beverly Dr.

7:37 p.m. A welfare check was requested in the 600 block of Kaler Av.

7:43 p.m. A vandalism report was taken I the area of Marion Rd and Arch Dr. Four boys reportedly threw a ball that struck a vehicle and ran. One of the boys was detained and another was located and the juveniles were transported to their residence.

8:39 p.m. A report of suspicious pedestrians was made in the 1100 block of Isaac Beal Rd.

9:30 p.m. A report of a dog bite victim at Bucyrus Community Hospital was investigated and the subject was bitten by their own dog.

10:06 p.m. Officers assisted an elderly female in the 1000 block of Martha Ave.

11:05 p.m. A report of loud music coming from Old 30 BBQ was investigated and the band stopped playing.

Sunday, Sept. 3

12:15 a.m. A traffic warning was given in the 100 block of N. Sandusky Ave.

12:19 am. Larry Smith, 37, was arrested on a warrant out of Crawford County. He was issued a date to appear in court and released.

12:19 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a fight near city lot 3 and it was a verbal dispute and one of the parties was issued a summons for failing to pay income tax.

1 a.m. A report of a possible fight in the 200 block of N. Sandusky Ave. was investigated and subjects were being loud.

1:32 a.m. A traffic warning was given in the Marion Rd. area.

1:42 a.m. A report of a fight in the 500 block of N. Sandusky Ave. was investigated and two males and two females were arguing.

9:17 a.m. Officers assisted with a bat removal in the 100 block of N Poplar St.

9:50 a.m. A parking citation was issued in the area of Lawn and Dunn.

9:51 a.m. An overtime parking complaint in the 100 block of Whetstone St. was investigated.

10:04 a.m. Officers attempted to make a welfare check in the 900 block of Harris Ave.

12:39 p.m. A warning for speed and muffler noise was issued in the 300 block of S Lane St.

1:16 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 500 block of S. Sandusky Ave.

1:23 p.m. A domestic dispute in the 800 block of S Spring St. was investigated.

1:27 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 1800 block of E Mansfield St.

1:30 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 100 block of N Lane St.

1:52 p.m. Officers investigated a disturbance in the 600 block of E Mary St.

2:26 p.m. Officers spoke with a subject on station regarding credit card fraud.

4:39 p.m. Officers served an income tax summons in the 100 block of N. Spring St.

4:39 p.m. Officers assisted a motorist locked out of their vehicle in the E. Beal Ave. area.

5:04 p.m. Officers mediated a dispute between neighbors in the 100 block of E. Liberty St.

5:09 p.m. Officers attempted to serve a city income tax summons in the 700 block of E. Warren St.

5:18 p.m. Officers investigated a parking issue in the 100 block of Iron St. in an alley and the owner moved the vehicle.

10:50 p.m. Officers investigated a report of a domestic issue in the 900 block of Elm St. It was found to be a verbal argument.

Monday, Sept. 4

12:59 a.m. A report of a road obstruction in the 1600 block of Whetstone St. was checked and removed.

2:05 a.m. Officers on patrol checked on a vehicle found with an open door in the 100 block of S. East St.

8:26 a.m. A report of an assault in the 100 block of E. Lucas Street was investigated.

9:45 a.m. Officers spoke with a parent in the 1700 block of Whetstone Street about her unruly juvenile.

10:27 a.m. A false alarm in the 200 block of Brentwood Drive was investigated.

11:36 a.m. A false alarm in the 800 block of Arrowhead Drive was investigated.

1:01 p.m. Someone reported a strange noise coming from a residence in the 200 block of Whetstone Street. Officers spoke with the owner and determined it was a maintenance issue with an exhaust fan and he was already working on it.

1:32 p.m. A resident in the 700 block of Faustina Avenue reported someone running over his foot with their vehicle.

1:42 p.m. A disturbance in the area of Heritage Circle was investigated.

1:59 p.m. A domestic disturbance in the 1300 block of Whetstone Street was mediated.

2:19 p.m. Officers responded to the Bucyrus Community Hospital to assist with a disorderly patient.

2:32 p.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle by the railroad on S. Sandusky Avenue was investigated. No one was located in the area.

2:46 p.m. Officers assisted a motorist locked out of his vehicle in the 1500 block of S. Sandusky Avenue.

3:17 p.m. A false alarm at Bucyrus Secondary School was related to the high winds.

3:50 p.m. A loud music complaint was checked and unfounded in the 300 block of W. Liberty Street.

5:16 p.m. A domestic disturbance in the 1500 block of E. Mansfield Street was mediated.

5:52 p.m. A domestic disturbance in the 500 block of Failor Street was a verbal dispute.

5:59 p.m. A resident in the 200 block of W. Southern Avenue reported damage to her yard after someone drove through it.

7:38 p.m. Property found in a bag outside the AmVet Post was returned to the owner.

8:57 p.m. A traffic warning was issued in the 900 block of E. Mansfield Street.

9:01 p.m. A disturbance in the Walmart parking lot was only a loud discussion.

10:23 p.m. A traffic stop was made in the 800 block of Woodlawn Ave. resulting in a minor drug offense charge.

10:58 p.m. A report of a vehicle disabled in high water in the 300 block of Hopley Ave. was a disabled vehicle that was assisted to the side of the road.

11:12 p.m. Officer responded to a report of downed tree limbs on Rogers St. and cleared the roadway.
