MANSFIELD — School is about to open again in the next few days, continuing a focus on education that has long been an important aspect of this community since its inception.
The earliest students to be tutored outside their homes gathered at the venerable Blockhouse. The tradition has continued through today with north central Ohio communities often shaping their identity through their schools.
Today’s compilation of photos from the Mansfield Bicentennial Committee is a sampling of how some of those facilities were viewed in their day.
