Elizabeth “Liz” M. Moyer, 82, of Galion passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Galion Pointe.

Born Sept. 30, 1934 in Marion, she was the daughter of John Paul and Elva (Goff) Columbus. She married Clarence C. Moyer Sr. on Sept. 10, 1955 and they enjoyed 39 years together until his passing on March 3, 1994.

She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1954 and was a secretary at the former Perfection Cobey in Galion and for the office of Dr. Skinner. Liz attended the Galion and Crestline St. Joseph Catholic Churches. She liked to needlepoint, golf and contributed to missions through the church.

She is survived by grandchildren Ryan, Kyle, Damian and Courtney Moyer; great-grandchildren Lauren and Ella Moyer; sister Patricia Williams, of Sunbury; sister-in-law Joan Columbus, of Wooster, and brother-in-law Donald Moyer, of Crestline.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sons David Moyer and Clancy Moyer and brother David Columbus, of Wooster.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Galion with Father Paul Fahrbach officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff at Galion Pointe and Homecare Matters Hospice for their loving care of Liz.
