Dorothy Jane McKean, 93, formerly of Leesville, died Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living, Westerville.
Jane was born in Shelby, on Oct. 10, 1923 to the late Dooley C. and Edith M. (Guenther) Roberts. She married Glenn A. McKean on Jan. 14, 1946 and remained married to him for 58 years until his death on July 2, 2004.
Jane graduated from Shelby High School in 1941 and attended every monthly class breakfast as long as she was able. Jane retired from Ohio Seamless Tube in 1988 where she worked in the purchasing department.
She is survived by her two children, Bruce (Deborah) McKean, of Bucyrus, and Diane (Jim) Wootton, of Columbus, two grandchildren, Stacie (Mike) Walker, of Crestline, Matthew (Sheryl) Wootton, of Columbus; two great-grandchildren, Jane Wootton (age 7), James Wootton (age 2).
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, James J. Roberts, Robert C. Roberts, and her sister, Anna Vivian Lemmel.
A memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6783 Leesville Road, in Crestline, with Pastor Richard Genzman officiating. Burial will follow in Leesville Cemetery, Crestline. A luncheon will be served afterwards in the church.
