Mary Roberts

Mary A. Roberts, 87, of Ashland, passed away peacefully Friday morning June 16, 2017 in Kingston of Ashland after an extended illness. Mary was born May 7, 1930 in Nashville, the daughter of the late Frank and Virgie (Bell) Martin. She was a 1948 graduate of Nashville High School and lived in Loudonville most of her life. Mary and her late husband owned and operated Roberts Well Drilling in Loudonville for many years. She enjoyed craft shows, working crossword puzzles and word search games and was a avid bowler. On June 26, 1948 she married Willard Roberts who passed away in 1997.

She is survived by her five daughters, Linda (Jim) Derr of Woodland Park, CO, Judy (Cart) McClenathan of Elkview, WV, June Kurtz, Sharon (Ron) Hughes and Teresa Noe, all of Ashland; 16 grandchildren which include Bill (Miyuki) Derr, Steve (Carla) Derr, Marlo (Justin) Chaney, Janice (Dustin) Birky, Margaret (Nathan) Miracle, Greg (Jessica) Derr, Sascha Mathews, Jay (Jessica) McClenathan, Ryan McClenathan, Gabe Parsons, Derek (Kayla) Conway, Adam Kurtz, Carrie Studer, Nathan Riffel, Amber (Jeff) Tolliver, Dustin (Tiffany) McClure; 30 great grandchildren; her brother, Jack Martin of Big Prairie; and two sisters, Francis Joann Miller of Perrysville and Nancy Arnholt of Big Prairie and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and an infant son and daughter.

Private family services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, June 20 followed by Graveside services at 2 pm in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville.
