John M. Burton, 65, of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017, following a lengthy illness.
John was born on Jan. 18, 1952, the son of Harold and Elizabeth (Winkleman) Burton.
He was a truck driver for many years. He had a passion for motorcycles, and in his earlier years, he enjoyed building them as well as riding them.
He had a love for his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter and her husband, Michele and Joe Dobson, of Wheeling West Virginia; two sons, Derrick Coulson and Dustin Bailey, both of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Briele, Rosalie, Piper, and Greta Dobson, and Luke and Dalton Bailey; and his lifelong companion, Cheryl Bundren.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will observe private services at a later date. Werner Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield, is handling the arrangements.
