James Arthur Vining, 79, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
James was born Aug. 9, 1937 in Marengo to Kenneth E. and Rachel (Lane) Vining. He enjoyed fishing, riding bikes, and spending time with his grandkids. He was always on the go.
He is survived by seven children; James Vining, Kevin (Kathy) Vining, Rachel (Bill) Cameron, Charles Vining, Harvey (Mary) Vining, Becky (Charles) Whitt, and Clifford Vining; one sister, Ollie Donhue; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Vining; parents; a granddaughter, Heidi Cameron; and six siblings.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Earl Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
