MANSFIELD – Karin DeSanto and Beth Julian have been awarded the James A. Courtney Award, according to a Mechanics Bank press release.
The award is presented to Mechanics employees who best exemplify the company’s mission – “to pursue excellence in every possible way to enrich the lives of the people and the communities we serve.” The award is presented on a peer-nomination basis.
DeSanto began her career at Mechanics in 2010 as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) and later served as a Customer Service Specialist (CSS) and Senior CSS. DeSanto currently serves as the CSS Coordinator. Karin completed a banking apprenticeship in her home country of Germany, and has an Associate’s Degree from Baker College.
Julian began her career at Mechanics in 2009 as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) and later served as an Answer Center Specialist. Julian currently serves as the Answer Center Supervisor.
The James A. Courtney Award, named for Mechanics’ former President, is the company’s most prestigious recognition of performance. Prior to his retirement in 2003, Mr. Courtney led the bank through a 15-year period of growth and continued independence.
