BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Police department handled the following calls over the weekend, beginning on Friday, June 2.
9:20 a.m. Officers investigated a two-car, injury accident in the intersection of Mary and Poplar Streets. One driver was transported to the ER with minor injuries, the other driver was issued a citation.
9:55 a.m. Officers investigated a report of an open building in the Bucyrus Plaza area.
11:48 a.m. Officers assisted a motorist with a vehicle lockout at the Bucyrus Public Library parking lot.
1:07 p.m. Officers investigated a report of a parked vehicle that was struck by an unknown vehicle in the 900 block of Rogers St.
1:18 p.m. A report of a disturbance in the 900 block of Marion Rd. was investigated.
1:28 p.m. Officers investigated a report of a breaking and entering in the 200 block of Bland Ave.
2:15 p.m. A traffic complaint was investigated in the area of N. Sandusky at US 30.
4:33 p.m. A 911 hang up call was unfounded in the 900 block of Marion Rd.
5:12 p.m. A report of a vehicle speeding on Marion Rd. was investigated.
5:13 p.m. Four income tax summons were served on Stetzer Rd.
7:07 p.m. Officers responded to an overdose in the 100 block of E. Center St.
7:11 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 100 block of Stetzer Rd.
7:26 p.m. A false alarm was investigated in the 700 block of Tiffin St.
7:37 p.m. A report of an intoxicated male in the area of Walnut and Warren St. was investigated.
7:42 p.m. A possible intoxicated driver was reported in the 600 block of S. Sandusky Ave.
7:44 p.m. Officers assisted the Ohio State patrol with a report of a plane crash in the area of SR 98.A Lexington man was taken to Avita Health System Bucyrus Hospital and later transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with head injuries, according to the Bucyrus Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
8:06 p.m. A report of a possible burglary was investigated in the 400 block of W. Mansfield St.
8:51 p.m. A report of loud music was investigated in the 500 block of W. Warren St.
9:25 p.m. Officers assisted the ER staff at Bucyrus Community Hospital with a patient.
9:30 p.m. A report of a possible burglary was investigated in the 500 block of Hopley Ave.
9:38 p.m. A theft report was taken in the 900 block of Elm St.
10:07 p.m. A possible fight was investigated in the 200 block of W. Mary St.
10:28 p.m. A traffic report was taken in the 1500 block of N. Sandusky Ave.
10:29 p.m. A loud music complaint was made in the 1300 block of E. Mansfield St.
10:55 p.m. Officers assisted a disabled semi on N. Sandusky Ave.
11:33 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the area of N. Sandusky and Mary St.

12:44 a.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the 900 block of Marion Rd.
1:13 a.m. A report of a person passed out in the 100 block of W. Mansfield St. was investigated.
1:46 a.m. A report of loud music in the 1700 block of Marion Rd was unfounded.
2:26 a.m. A disturbance in City Lot #3 was investigated.
2:46 a.m. A false alarm was received from the 300 block of S. Sandusky Ave.
2:51 a.m. John A Biederman, 30, was arrested in the area of Washington Square and charged with assault. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center.
2:54 a.m. A report of kids being loud in the area of Oakwood and Prospect was unfounded.
3:58 a.m. A disturbance in City Lot #3 was investigated.
6:45 a.m. A false alarm was received from the 900 block of Hopley Ave.
9:21 a.m. A false alarm was received from the 1100 block of Rosedale.
11:51 a.m. Officers spoke with a subject on station regarding threats.
1:11 p.m. A report of smoke coming from Ohio Dr. turned out to be a resident burning furniture. The resident was warned against burning in the city and the furniture was extinguished.
1:25 p.m. A parking complaint on Park Ave. was investigated.
2:01 p.m. Officers attempted to make a civil standby in the 500 block of S Sandusky Ave.
2:55 p.m. Officers assisted with a disorderly person in the 600 block of N. Sandusky Ave.
4:12 p.m. Officers assisted with a traffic complaint in the 100 block of S. Sandusky Ave.
4:27 p.m. A report of trash being dumped in the 1800 block of E. Mansfield St. was investigated.
4:39 p.m. A theft report was taken at the Police Department.
6:43 p.m. Officers checked an animal complaint in the 1200 block of High St.
6:47 p.m. A phone found in the area of N. Sandusky and Plymouth St .was turned over to officers.
8:39 p.m. Kyle Benedict, 18, was arrested in the area of Home Circle Dr. and Marion Rd. on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
8:46 p.m. A theft report was taken in the 500 block of Hopley Av.
8:59 p.m. A vandalism report was taken in the 800 block of Beverly Dr.
10:22 p.m. A report of an unwanted intoxicated male at a residence in the 500 block of S. Walnut was investigated.
10:49 p.m. A report of people yelling in the Lutz Dr. area was investigated.
11:24 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was given in the area of W. Mary St. and N. Poplar St.
11:50 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was given in the 200 block of N. Sandusky Ave.

12:08 a.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of Rogers St. was investigated.
12:14 a.m. A report of people yelling in the 500 block of Plymouth St. was investigated.
1:38 a.m. A W. Liberty resident reported hearing voices in the alley behind Taco Bell.
1:45 a.m. Officers assisted Life Support with an intoxicated male at Millennium Park.
2:35 a.m. A verbal traffic warning was given in the area of S. Sandusky Ave. and Oakwood Ave.
9:15 a.m. A subject came on station to speak with an officer regarding a prior case.
10:33 a.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock-out in the 700 block of Wilbur St.
11:52 a.m. A possible fraud report was taken in the 300 block of Heritage Circle.
11:59 a.m. A Fairview Ave. resident reported her vehicle entered overnight, and her wallet missing.
12:18 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock-out in the 1300 block of High St.
12:54 p.m. Officers took a private property accident report at Walmart.
1 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock-out in the 700 block of S Sandusky Ave.
1:16 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock-out in the 200 block of E Mary St.
1:20 p.m. A false alarm was received from the 500 block of W Warren St.
3:23 p.m. A report of a tree limb in the street was investigated in the 400 block of N. Walnut St.
3:50 p.m. Officers investigated a drug complaint in the 200 block of E. Warren St.
3:58 p.m. A report of a person trespassing in the 100 block of W. Mary St. was investigated.
4:15 p.m. A disabled vehicle was reported in the area of Tiffin and Irving St.
5:28 p.m. A burglary report was taken on Norton Way.
5:38 p.m. A false alarm was investigated in the 800 block of Rogers St.
7:18 p.m. An assault report was taken in the 1800 block of St. Rt. 4 North.
7:27 p.m. A false alarm was investigated in the 400 block of Norton Way.
7:37 p.m. A report of loud music was made in the 500 block of W. Warren St.
7:52 p.m. Nicholas Paynter, 24, was arrested in the 500 block of Failor St. on a Crawford County warrant. He was issued a court date to appear and released.
7:59 p.m. Officers spoke to a person on station about a possible sex complaint.
8:23 p.m. A traffic complaint was investigated in the area of Beverly and Wilbur St.
9:01 p.m. A domestic dispute was investigated in the 800 block of Wilbur St.
9:37 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the area of Woodlawn and Kearsley Av.
9:52 p.m. A report of suspicious people in Aumiller Park was investigated. The subjects were not located.
10:18 p.m. Officers assisted with a civil stand by in the 1200 block of Michigan Dr.
10:55 p.m. Officers are investigating a possible sex crime.
Monday, June 5
12:18 a.m. A report of suspicious people in the 200 block of Woodlawn Ave. was investigated.
12:41 a.m. Officers investigated a report of domestic problems in the 100 block of Woodlawn Ave.
6:05 a.m. Aaron Zornes, 29, Bucyrus, was arrested on a warrant out of Crawford County. He was given a court date and released.
