Terry Lee Gamble Sr., 64, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in Park Medical Center, Orange Park, Florida after an extended illness.
Mr. Gamble was born on Sunday, March 8, 1953 to the Mack and Minnie (Black) Gamble Sr. in Shaw, Mississippi. Terry was raised in Mansfield. He was a member of the 1971 graduating class of Mansfield Senior High School.
After graduation, Terry moved to Indianapolis and also lived in Florida. When Terry returned to Mansfield in 2001 he was employed by Thermo-Disc for a brief period when his health began to fail. Terry returned to the Jacksonville, Florida area in 2015 with his mother to be closer to his sister.
Terry is survived by his mother: Minnie Lee Gamble, of Jacksonville; daughter: Terrecka Gamble; wife: Pearlene Gamble, of Indianapolis; Indiana, sister: Teresa (Warren) Johnson, of Jacksonville; brother: Mack (Grace) Gamble Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry was preceded in death by his son Terry Jr., father Mack Gamble Sr., three siblings Darlene Gamble-Taylor, Willie and James Gamble.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m. in the Ruth Anna Lee Williams Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Services by Overseer Clarence J. Sanderfer of the New Life Baptist Church. Friends may call at the chapel one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m.
