MANSFIELD — Two local organizations teamed for a Military Appreciation cookout for area veterans and their families on Monday, May 22 at the David F. Winder Department of Veterans Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Mansfield.
Four members of the Jared Mansfield Chapter of the National Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution, along with two Veterans Administration Clinic volunteers, helped set up and serve at the event.
DAR members also serve as volunteers at the VA Clinic during the week.
The DAR, founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children.
