MIDLAND, Mich. – Crestline native Alex Smith received a $5,000 Naegele Competitive Scholarship from Northwood University, where he will begin study in fall 2017 and plans to major in automotive marketing and management.
The Naegele Competitive Scholarship is an annual award given to students who articulate the American Dream and its value on a global, free-enterprise society in an essay and subsequent interview. The awards favor students able to use personal examples of an entrepreneurial mindset and experience, elements of the Northwood Idea. Awards were given to 10 students for the 2017-2018 academic year.
