BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Police department handled the following calls over the weekend:
Friday, May 12
6:56 a.m. Officers replaced a metal cover in the roadway at Southern and Sandusky Ave.
8:42 a.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 300 block of S. Lane St.
10:41 a.m. Officers assisted with a funeral escort.
10:58 a.m. Officers assisted a person experiencing mental problems.
12:12 p.m. Officers assisted with a funeral escort.
12:19 p.m. An accident was investigated in the 200 block of E. Mary St.
2:10 p.m. A theft report was taken in the 500 block of Wedgewood Ct.
3:20 p.m. A two vehicle non-injury crash was investigated in the 300 block of S. Sandusky Av. and a citation was issued to a juvenile driver.
3:29 p.m. A welfare check was requested in the area of Warren and Spring St. It was found to be a possible overdose in a vehicle and EMS assisted. The female driver was arrested for OVI and transported to Crawford County Jail.
3:58 p.m. A theft report was taken in the 1100 block of Teddy Ave.
4:36 p.m. A domestic dispute was investigated in the 400 block of Sheckler St.
5:20 p.m. A report of a person riding a motorized scooter in the area of Beverly Dr. was investigated.
6 p.m. A traffic warning was given in the area of N. Lane St. and Plymouth St.
6:43 p.m. A report of loud music in the 200 block of W. Mansfield St. was investigated.
7:55 p.m. A report of a dog fighting another dog in the 500 block of Rogers St. was investigated and both owners were contacted.
8:26 p.m. A report of a possibly intoxicated driver in the N. Sandusky Ave. area was investigated.
8:29 p.m. Officers spoke to a female on station about a domestic issue.
9:22 p.m. Officers made a welfare check on an intoxicated pedestrian unable to stand in the 400 block of Hopley Ave. Travis Nicholson, 59, was arrested for disorderly conduct. He was issued a minor misdemeanor citation and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held until sober.
10:12 p.m. A traffic warning was given in the 200 block of S. Lane St.
10:19 p.m. A traffic complaint in the Lutz Dr. area was investigated.
10:28 p.m. Officers assisted the staff in the 1200 block of W. Mansfield St. with a disorderly resident.
11:09 p.m. Brandon Taylor, 29, was arrested in the 1100 block of Hopley Ave. on warrants out of Crawford County and Hardin County. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held.
11:44 p.m. Officers spoke to a female on station about being harassed.
Saturday, May 13
12:45 a.m. A report of a suspicious male in Bob Evan’s parking lot was a subject using Wi-Fi.
2:14 a.m. John L. Sullivan II, 31, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol in the 600 block of S. Sandusky Ave. He was issued a date to appear in court and released to a sober friend.
4:16 a.m. A report of a shoplifting at Walmart was investigated.
5:24 a.m. A report of underage alcohol consumption in the 200 block of W. Mansfield St. was investigated.
6:06 a.m. Officers assisted a disabled motorist in the 100 block of E. Southern Ave.
6:11 a.m. Officers picked up an abandoned bicycle in the 100 block of E. Irving St.
8:53 a.m. An overtime parking complaint was investigated in the 500 block of S. Poplar St.
9:34 a.m. A traffic complaint was investigated in the 1400 block of Rosedale Ave.
9:54 a.m. An assault report by threats was taken at the Police Department.
10:12 a.m. Officers investigated a report of a go cart in the roadway on Sears St.
11:26 a.m. A missing person report was taken on two brothers, ages 14 and 13 and they were located later in the day.
12:03 p.m. Officers assisted a motorist locked out of their vehicle at Speedway.
12:40 p.m. Officers assisted a deputy from Huron County in the 400 block of W. Mansfield St.
12:41 p.m. Officers checked on a report of a strange acting raccoon in the 600 block of N. Lane St.
2:54 p.m. A report of trespassing by a subject in the 200 block of Penn Ave. is under investigation.
3:23 p.m. An employee of the Family Dollar reported the building had been stained with paint balls.
3:49 p.m. A report of a speeder in the Marion Rd. area North bound from Marion County was received from the state patrol. The vehicle was stopped on Marion Rd at Arch and a warning was issued.
4:46 p.m. A report of trash dumped at the Pines Reservoir was investigated.
6:32 p.m. Officers responded to an alarm in the 100 block of S. Poplar St. and it was a false alarm.
7:29 p.m. A report of two suspicious juveniles in the N. Lane St. area was investigated.
7:43 p.m. A report of loud music in the 1100 block of Rosedale Ave. was checked and the residence located and notified.
7:54 p.m. A report of a male yelling at the clerk at the Duke and Duchess Station was investigated.
8:15 p.m. Officers responded to a report of two men fighting in the 400 block of N. Walnut St. Daryl Ray, 51, was arrested on a warrant out of Mercer County. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to await pick up by deputies from Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.
8:19 p.m. A report of a small child on a motorbike in the street in the Lawn Ave. and Maple St. area was investigated. Officers spoke to the child’s mother and advised her to keep the child off the street.
8:25 p.m. A report of a credit card being used fraudulently at the Duke and Duchess Station is under investigation.
9:02 p.m. A report of go carts being ridden in the 500 block of E. Warren St. was investigated.
9:14 p.m. A report of a gunshot in the 600 block of E. Oakwood Ave. was found to be from a motorized cart that backfired, causing minor injury to a man there.
10:40 p.m. A report of a male riding a mini bike in the N. Lane St. area was investigated.
10:43 p.m. Officers spoke to a male in the 800 block of E. Mansfield St. who was talking to a female on the internet who was claiming to be suicidal. The police department in her jurisdiction was contacted to do a welfare check on her.
10:55 p.m. Officers spoke to a female at Bucyrus Community Hospital about a domestic issue she was having.
Sunday, May 14
12:09 a.m. A traffic warning was given in the 100 block of S. Sandusky Ave.
12:18 a.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle in the 800 block of S. Spring St. was investigated.
12:21 p.m. A report of a disorderly female at an establishment near Washington Square was investigated. She was banned from the establishment for the night.
2:08 a.m. Officers assisted a State Trooper with a traffic arrest near State Route 4.
2:21 a.m. A traffic warning was given in the area of E. Mansfield St. and Hall St.
2:31 a.m. A traffic warning was issued in the area of Hopley Ave. and Kincora Dr.
2:53 p.m. John P. Boyer III, 42, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol in the 400 block of N. Sandusky Ave.
3:31 p.m. A report of a male and female arguing in the 500 block of Rogers St. was investigated.
3:55 a.m. A report of 2 females’ with-out shirts on in the 400 block of N. Sandusky Ave. was unfounded.
4:11 a.m. Officers on patrol discovered 2 damaged vehicles in City Lot #3. The incident is under investigation.
5:50 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle trespass and theft in the 600 block of W. Perry St. The suspect had taken a tank from a work truck and the tank had caught on fire and the suspect used a fire extinguisher to stop the fire. A suspect, age 30, matching the description and soiled with fire extinguisher powder was located in the vicinity of 240 W. Mansfield St. and was arrested for vehicle trespass and criminal mischief. The suspect also had possession of a flag stolen from a residence in the 400 block of W. Mansfield St. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for bond.
11:29 a.m. Officers investigated a report of a person hitting a dog in the 400 block of N. Sandusky Ave.
12:11 p.m. A theft report was taken in the 900 block of Elm St.
12:50 p.m. A disturbance was investigated in the 600 block of E. Oakwood St.
1:04 p.m. A false alarm was investigated in the 400 block of Redman Way.
2:31 p.m. A report of a dog running loose in the 200 block of E. Mary St. was investigated.
3:17 p.m. A two-vehicle crash was investigated in the alley on the west side of the500 block of S. Sandusky Av. One of the vehicles was towed.
3:50 p.m. Officers assisted Life Support in the 1100 block of W. Mansfield St.
4:17 p.m. Officers responded to a domestic complaint and Trent Gill, 25, was arrested in the 400 block of McKinley Ave. on charges of domestic violence. He was transported to Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court. Four income tax summons were issued to subjects at the residence while officers were on scene.
4:29 p.m. A traffic warning was issued in the area Maple and Dudley St.
4:59 p.m. Officers checked on a dog reported to be in a vehicle. The animal was fine.
5:33 p.m. A report of vandalism in the 800 block of S. Poplar St. was investigated.
5:35 p.m. Officers investigated a traffic complaint in the area of Maple and Dudley St.
5:42 p.m. A private property collision report between a white Cadillac and Red Dodge van was taken on the parking lot at Kroger.
5:45 p.m. A call of two subjects taking coins out of the fountain was unfounded.
6:17 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 700 block of Sunset Dr.
6:31 p.m. A report of a vehicle playing loud music was investigated in the area of Spring and Liberty.
6:42 p.m. A false alarm was investigated in the 1500 block of S. Sandusky Av.
7:45 p.m. A domestic dispute was investigated in the 200 block of E. Mary St.
8:45 p.m. A report of a suspicious male in the 1500 block of N. Sandusky Ave. was investigated. He was found to be walking his dog.
9:15 p.m. A traffic warning was given in the area of Hopley Ave. and Whetstone St.
Monday, May 15
12:20 a.m. A traffic warning was given in the 1500 block of Hopley Ave.
1:13 a.m. Officers responded to a motorcycle accident in the area of E. Warren St. and Highland Ave. Brian Foster, 56, Port Clinton, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was released with a court date after posting bail. A second involved motorcycle fled the scene and Foster’s MC was towed.
1:53 a.m. A resident in the 800 block of Beverly Dr. requested a security check and Officers checked the area and did not locate anyone.
1:56 a.m. A report of 2 suspicious males in an alley in the 100 block of Gaius St. was investigated and vandalism to a vehicle was reported later in the morning.
6:17 a.m. A report of three deer in the baseball diamond at Lions Field was received.
