BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus police department handled the following calls on Monday, May 8:
8:58 a.m. A Bucyrus resident came to the Police Department to report someone using his checking account without his permission.
9:39 a.m. Officers assisted a motorist locked out of her vehicle at Walmart.
11:31 a.m. Officers provided an escort for a funeral to Oakwood Cemetery.
11:53 a.m. A report of a sick raccoon in the 1000 block of Rogers Street was investigated.
11:55 a.m. Officers provided an escort for a funeral to the city limits on the north end of town.
1:21 p.m. Officers checked on a disabled vehicle on Penn Avenue. Someone in the area was helping him jump the vehicle.
1:44 p.m. A minor injury crash involving a motorcycle in the 700 block of N. Sandusky Avenue was investigated.
1:46 p.m. A false alarm at Crawford County Fair Board Office was investigated.
2:58 p.m. A parking complaint in the 800 block of Woodlawn Avenue was unfounded.
3:32 p.m. A resident in the 1000 block of S. East Street reported receiving a scam phone call claiming he won money, but needed to pay them for the taxes before he could receive it.
4:34 p.m. A false alarm in the 1500 block of Oakridge Drive was caused by human error.
4:48 p.m. A report of an erratic driver heading into town on Plymouth Street was checked and the driver was not impaired.
4:51 p.m. A resident in the 1000 block of E. Mansfield Street reported her 11-year-old grandson as a runaway. He was later located and returned to his guardians.
4:53 p.m. A parking complaint in the 400 block of E. Charles Street was for overtime parking.
6:30 p.m. A domestic disturbance in the 500 block of S. Highland Avenue was a verbal dispute.
6:52 p.m. A report of a dog quarreling with another dog in the 700 block of Wilbur Street was handled and both dog owners were contacted and the report forwarded to the animal warden.
7:37 p.m. A private property collision on the lot at Speedway was investigated.
8:22 p.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle on S. Sandusky Avenue was resolved by contacting a property manager.
8:23 p.m. Marion County requested a welfare check on a male subject who may be in town. Officers checked a couple locations but were unable to locate him.
8:35 p.m. Officers responded with Bucyrus Fire Department to a report of a brush fire behind the 1100 block of Ohio Drive.
Tuesday, May 9
12:51 a.m. Officers responded to an alarm in the Home Circle Dr. area and it was a false alarm.
12:53 a.m. Officers assisted a State Trooper on State route 98.
1:45 a.m. A traffic warning was given in the area of N. Sandusky Ave. and Songer Ave.
3:55 a.m. Officers assisted EMS in the 1600 block of Marion Rd.
3:59 a.m. Officers responded to an alarm in the 700 block of Tiffin St. and it was a false alarm by human error.
5:25 a.m. Officers responded to an alarm in the 700 block of Hill St. and it was a false alarm.
