Nancy A. Young, age 72, of Cincinnati and formerly of Shelby, died early Thursday morning, March 30, 2017 at Scarlet Oaks Retirement Community in Cincinnati.
Nancy was born November 27, 1944 in Galion, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Bernice (Eberhart) Koschnick. She was a 1962 graduate of Galion High School and, after the passing of her husband, Ronald, attended North Central Technical College. Nancy had worked for Richland County Children Services She loved to read and cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by 3 children: Barry R.(Sheila) Young of Columbus, Bob E. Young (Tom Aley) of Cincinnati, Julie A.(Nick) Saterides of Cleveland; 7 grandchildren & 1 great step-grandchild: Nathan (Tori) Young, M.E. Young, Shannon Young, James Young, Aaron Young, Christina Saterides, Eleni Saterides, and Dakota. a very close family friend: Annette Phillips; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. Young, in 1988; a son: Brian C. Young; a brother: William J. “Bill” Koschnick; and a sister: Janice Gramly.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. Rev. Dan Dickman, Pastor of Peace Fellowship, will officiate and burial will follow in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Cemetery, Shelby Settlement. Memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice or Hospice of North Central Ohio.
