David Robert Hill, 64, died at home on Sunday, March 19, of natural causes.
Born Dec. 12, 1952 in Youngstown, he was a graduate of Madison High School. As a youth, David excelled in fitness and gymnastics.
An avid reader, David was known for always having his nose in a book. David was a gifted musician and composer, who appeared with many local bands during his lifetime. He will be remembered for his music, as an accomplished pianist and guitarist, and enjoyed teaching in more recent years.
He is survived by his wife Suzanna D. Hill; his mother Lois T. Hill, of Mansfield; siblings and their spouses Dan Hill, of Tampa, Florida, Janet and Martin Guetle, Bill and Cindy Hill, all of Mansfield, and Dawn and Todd Beckman, of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Hill and his sister-in-law, Kristine E. Hill.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park, with Pastor Jim Berry officiating. The Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
