MANSFIELD – Richland Newhope, along with Element of Art Studio/Gallery and the Richland Mall, are sponsoring the 7th annual Bringing the Elements Together Art and Talent Exhibition featuring the work of individuals supported by Richland Newhope.
It will take place March 24 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Richland Mall in Ontario.
This is the last of several activities to mark Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in March. Artwork displayed will include paintings, photography, pottery, and jewelry. Some will be available for purchase.
There will also be a number of craft projects done by both children and adults who receive supports from Richland Newhope. In addition, two artists from Element of Art will be doing free portrait sketches.
There will be a variety of live performances throughout the event, including the dance troupe from Richland Newhope Industries, Inc. (RNI). T
he exhibition is designed to showcase the many ‘abilities’ that people with developmental disabilities have and to involve the entire community in an awareness month activity.
In addition to the art and talent show, the event will also include informational displays and a coloring page station.
In 2016, Richland Newhope (Richland County Board of Developmental Disabilities) supported more than 1,700 individuals through early intervention, preschool, adult, residential, therapy, transportation and other family support programs.
