MANSFIELD — Families with young children celebrated St. Patrick’s day at the Richland County Carrousel Park on Saturday.
While the Irish celebration is typically celebrated by adults, Jessalynn Bryant and her son, Jeffery, were excited to be able to join in the festivities.
“We’re having some fun. We got to ride on the carousel,” Bryant said.
Jeffery, 5, said he enjoys the holiday a lot.
“I like it because every person in the world can have fun,” he said, with a four-leaf clover painted on his right cheek. “I’ve been (on the carrousel) two times. We’re going to go one more time.”
Bryant added the event is a good opportunity to spend time with family and celebrate while not spending a ton of money.
“It’s nice. This is the second time we’ve been here,” she said. “It’s really cool. It’s nice to have something for kids under 10 today.”
