Leo Davis went to be with the Lord Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 in Lexington Court Care Center. He was 85.
He was born June 29, 1931 in Shelby County, Tennessee, to Gene and Ella Mae Davis. He proudly served his country by joining the U.S. Army and served in Korea.
A beautiful young lady named Luella (Halliburton) caught his eye and the pair married on Sept. 14, 1951.
Leo worked as a bus driver for Mansfield City Schools for over 20 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Luella Davis; children Sheila Jackson, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Keith Davis, of Columbus, Stephanie Griffin, of Raytown, Missouri and Marilyn Allen, of Charlotte, North Carolina; five grandchildren.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service honoring Leo’s life will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
