Delena Mays , 58, of Mansfield went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 at the OSU Medical Center.
Delena was born on Dec. 4, 1958 in Mansfield to the late Ottie (Porter) Mays.
Delena retired from Crestline Paint after 23 years of service. Delena attended the Belmont Community Church. She enjoyed helping in the church and especially enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunt.
Delena loved to bake and was well-known for her pumpkin rolls. In her spare time, she loved working in her flower gardens and camping. Delena will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are a special niece and nephew that she raised as her own, Shannon (Josh) Worthington and Shawn (Chara) Mays; four brothers and one sister, Darrell (Reba) Mays, Roger Mays, Harlon (Tammy) Mays, Rodney Mays, and Marlene Boggs; and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her mother that Delena dedicated her life to taking care of.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A funeral service conducted by Rev. Gary Lambert and Pastor Hank Webb will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Delena will be laid to rest following in the Franklin Church Cemetery.
