BUCYRUS — Listed below are the Bucyrus police reports from Monday, Feb. 27.
7:35 a.m. Property found on Kaler Ave was turned in to the Police Department. The owner was contacted to come pick it up.
7:40 a.m. A false alarm was received from the 1000 block of S Walnut St.
8:30 a.m. Officers took a private property parking lot minor crash report at United Bank.
8:55 a.m. An income tax summons was served on station.
11:33 a.m. A motorist was warned reference expired tags in the area of Mansfield and Iron Streets.
12:10 p.m. A parking citation was issued in the 100 block of Franklin St.
12:45 p.m. A warning for expired tags was issued in the 300 block of S Walnut St.
2:32 p.m. A warning was issued in the 400 block of N. Sandusky Av.
2:53 p.m. Officers received a report of an erratic driver in the area of N. Sandusky and Irving St. The driver was contacted and was found to be sober and overly careful.
3:28 p.m. Officers assisted with a medical alarm in the 1500 block W. Southern Av.
5:10 p.m. A report of a barking dog was unfounded in the area of Whetstone and Hopley Av.
5:43 p.m. A report of a stolen license plate was taken in the 1400 block of Oakridge Dr.
6:29 p.m. Officer conducted follow-up near Washington Square for a previous day sex complaint and an arrest was made.
6:41 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 400 block of E. Rensselaer St.
7:06 p.m. A domestic dispute was investigated at Pinewood Ct.
7:29 p.m. Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 1800 block of E. Mansfield St.
7:31 p.m. A dispute on E. Mary St. was mediated.
7:57 p.m. A possible scam was reported at the Police Department. A solicitation over the internet requested a $2,000 fee for the future receipt of grant money, and driver’s license information, name and phone number were requested. Citizens are reminded to avoid divulging personal information.
8:05 p.m. A theft report was taken in in the 200 block of Blicke St. and the matter was resolved with subjects known to the complainant returning the phones.
9:14 p.m. A report of a juvenile trespassing in the 900 block of Reid St. was investigated.
9:19 p.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle, peeling tires, in the 900 block of Marion Rd. was investigated.
11:03 p.m. Officers assisted a motorist locked out of their vehicle in the 400 block of N. Sandusky Ave.
Tuesday, Feb. 28
12:39 a.m. Officers checked for a report of an intoxicated driver on N. Sandusky Ave. near Perry St. The suspect vehicle was stopped in the 1600 block of E. Southern Ave. The driver backed up, crashing into the police cruiser causing minor damage to both vehicles. Tonya Laferty, 42, was arrested for possession of drugs and tampering with evidence. She was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for a court appearance and her vehicle was towed from the scene. Passenger, Raelyn Skelton, 37, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. She was issued a minor misdemeanor citation for each charge and released with a court date.
3:02 a.m. Officers assisted a patient at Bucyrus Community Hospital ER.
