MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Symphony Youth Strings will perform their fall concert under the baton of director Matt Domka on Sunday, March 26 at 3 p.m. on the stage of the Renaissance Theatre.
The program will include music by Mussorgsky, Corelli, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, and will prominently feature several arrangements by longtime former Youth Strings director Percy Hall.
“The Mansfield Symphony Youth Strings features some of the most talented strings players from the Mansfield and surrounding areas,” shared Domka.
The Youth Strings consists of students in grades 6 through 10 who audition to participate in this elite orchestral group.
The Mansfield Symphony Youth Strings perform as part of the Mechanics Bank Education Series and with additional support from the Russell and Mary Gimbel Foundation. The Mansfield Symphony Youth Orchestra features students from Ashland, Clear Fork, Crestline High School, Galion, Homeschool, Lexington Eastern Elementary, Lexington High School, Lexington Junior High, Malabar Intermediate School, Mansfield, Mansfield Spanish Immersion, Mansfield St. Peter’s, Mount Vernon Middle School, Ontario Junior High, Plymouth, River Valley Middle School, and Willard Elementary.
