Nancy L. Wigton, 84, of Loudonville, died Sunday morning, Feb. 19, 2017 in Colonial Manor Health Care Center Loudonville, following a two year battle with cancer.
She was born June 15, 1932 in Ashland and was the daughter of the late Roy and Myrtle (Smith) Grabill. She lived in Loudonville most of her life, working at the Mohican Youth Camp for many years, cashiering at the Budd School Cafeteria, and working for the First National Bank of Ashland.
Following her retirement she was the hostess at the Loudonville Pizza Hut. Nancy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, serving on the Church Council and attending the Bible Study Classes. She was also one of the co-hosts of the WZLP Radio Station’s Monday morning show “The Hen House.” Nancy was a volunteer at the McMullen Elementary School and was an L-P Music Booster member.
She is survived by two sons: Doug Wigton, of Springfield, and Steve (Beth) Wigton, of Lancaster; and five grandchildren: Cassiana Martin, Matthew (Amanda) Wigton, Mallory Wigton, Jennifer Wigton, and Rebecca Wigton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Scott D. Wigton in 2014, and her brother, Sam Grabill.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Feb. 24 at 11:30 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville conducted by Rev. Scott Henderson. Private burial will be in Loudonville Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church (10:30 to 11:30 a.m.) on Friday.
