MANSFIELD — Venus Lodge #152 F&AM, chartered in 1847, held their Annual Masonic Service Awards banquet Friday, Feb. 17 at Mansfield’s Masonic Complex building located at 1250 Middle-Bellville Road.

Over 80 people attended. Along with honoring 99-year-young Mason Max E. Maglott for 70 years of Masonic service, many others were awarded plaques and gold lapel pins for 25 years service and up. Attending to present the 50-and-over awards was the Deputy Grand Master of Masons of Ohio Eric R. Schau. The Master of Mansfield’s Venus Lodge Brunell D. Lewis was the MC of the event.

GRACE

The Community Builder Award sanctioned by the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio was presented to Ken Fraser and the local G.R.A.C.E. organization (Give Recovery A Chance Everyday) for their non-profit work in the area organizing fund-raising events for those addicted to opioids, heroin, and other drugs. GRACE organized an event in Bucyrus last November which raised $3,500 and was responsible for finding centers for placing 30 addicts into rehab at no cost, and have a similar event scheduled for May in Mansfield.
