Thelma “Terry” Doyle Dill Hoffer graciously passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2017.

Born, Oct. 11, 1925 in Springfield, Tennessee, she was the daughter of James L. Doyle and F. Delphia Parker.

Terry, graduated from Mansfield Senior High School class of 1942, and started her career with Page Dairy Co., Swansons, Archway Cookies, and Mother Del Bakery, in Canada. Returning from Canada, Terry obtained her real-estate license working for Tom Maddox Co., and then becoming the broker of Terry Hoffer Realty, retiring in 1990. She was a member of and attended Park Ave and Berean Baptist Church.

Terry was the last surviving member of the original 1944 Beta Sigma Phi of Mansfield. She was devoted to her faith, family and was lovingly referred to as “Momma T” by her grand and great grandchildren.

She is survived by son John “Jay” Dill and Susan (Spence) Dill, of Campobello, South Carolina, son D. Kenneth Dill and Joy (Ford) Dill, of Kansas City, Missouri, daughter Sallie Dill Cooper and Stephen Cooper, of Mansfield, Ohio, daughter Delphia Dill Hamms Mercurio and Jerry Mercurio, of Cincinnati; Grandchildren: Heidi Hamms, Autumn Dill-Wigton, Tiffany Dill, Denver Dill, Amanda Hamms-Deye, Michael Dill and 13 great grandchildren, sister Joyce Dudley, of Dover-New Philadelphia, Ohio, sister-in-law Dorothy Doyle, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Billy and Mae Hoffer, of Mansfield and extended Hoffer and Doyle nieces, nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Joseph L. Hoffer, John L. Dill, sisters- Lottie Lantz, Agnes Stulpin, Daisy Jackson, brothers: George Doyle, Jeffery Doyle, James (Sonny) Doyle, Grandson: Corey Cooper, Son-in–law: Scott Hamms.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, 350 Marion Ave., Mansfield. The service will begin promptly at noon Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park in Ontario.

With great gratitude, and much appreciation the family would like to thank all the staff of Winchester Nursing Home, Ohio Health MedCentral Hospice, for the loving care they so graciously extended to mom in her final months with us.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Berean Baptist Church at the funeral.
